#ConsciousContent Calendar: August 2020

You know the feeling: you’ve just logged onto your social accounts for the day and your feed is flooded with pictures of elephants. Why? Because apparently it is #WorldElephantDay and everyone prepared content for it, except you. Now you’re scrambling to join the trend and find something to post.

We’ve been there. And maybe it’s okay to miss #WorldElephantDay, but there are tons of other important dates of advocacy and recognition that offer opportunities for your brand to engage in meaningful conversations with your audience. That’s why we made the #ConsciousContent Calendar. Now, all of these dates will be located in one place so that you are never scrambling and don’t miss opportunities for meaningful engagement that will drive your larger strategic goals.

A calendar, but upgraded:

Knowing the dates you should be planning content for is great, but what about the part where you plan the actual content? We know that you already have too many calendars and documents, so we created a NEW DOWNLOADABLE format for our #ConsciousContent Calendar that includes space for you to plan ALL of your content alongside #consciouscontent.

Here's a peek, or skip ahead and download it here.

What you’ll get:

  • A month-at-a-glance calendar that includes the important dates you need to plan for, with space to add your organization’s own campaigns and launches.

  • Weekly tabs with a complete breakdown of each day’s social media postings, including body copy, time, channel, and any important notes about the date.

  • A list view of the #ConsciousContent dates with more details and relevant links, so you can figure out exactly what days are important for your organization to engage with.

  • All relevant hashtags that should be used to post about these important dates so you can make sure your post is #relevant.

Okay, I downloaded it. Now what?

Now it’s time to plan! Not every date on the #ConsciousContent Calendar is relevant to your organization. But a lot probably are, so it is important to look through them and recognize opportunities to engage with all of the stakeholders in your organization. Establishing a clear and consistent position through your social media affects your ability to recruit volunteers and maintain relationships with donors. Show them that you’re paying attention, and that you want to be part of the conversation on days like #WorldHumanitarianDay, on August 19. Or maybe #InternationalYouthDay, on August 12, provides a unique opportunity for you to engage on social media and drive your larger strategic goals. No matter what days you choose to engage with, the #ConsciousContent Calendar is here so that you can do it with ease.
