#ConsciousContent Calendar: February 2021

This might be just us, but our love language at L+C is communication, organization and planning. We thought we'd share...it's the month of love, after all!

That being said, February is so much more than chocolate hearts and teddy bears. It’s also a super important month of recognition and awareness. February is Black History Month, honoring the achievements of Black Americans throughout history and today. It’s also American Heart Month, bringing awareness to the prevention of heart disease. February has plenty of important days of advocacy and celebration, presenting an array of ways to engage with your nonprofit audience. We’ve put together a calendar resource to help you do just that, with all of the upcoming holidays and events in one place.

So, accept our valentine and let us do the work for you, so that you can stay on track planning content to better engage your audience. Our #consciouscontent calendar resource is downloadable right onto your own google calendar, and a great tool for staying on top of the dates relevant to your audience. It might be the shortest month, but there's a lot happening: not only time-honored holidays like National Groundhog Day on February 2nd, but also important days of recognition like World Day of Social Justice on February 20th. By staying up to date on important dates, you’ll be able to create relevant, informed content that can then drive your larger strategic goals.

More than just a Calendar:

We put together the #Consciouscontent calendar so that you’re never left scrambling for meaningful content. But this isn’t meant to just be another tool in your toolbox. Rather, it’s downloadable to your own Google calendar, allowing space for you to plan content and tailor the format to your organization's unique needs.

Here’s a peak, or skip ahead and download it here.

What you’ll get:

  • A month-at-a-glance calendar that includes the important dates you need to plan for, with space to add your organization’s own campaigns and launches.

  • Weekly tabs with a complete breakdown of each day’s social media postings, including body copy, time, channel, and any important notes about the date.

  • A list view of the #ConsciousContent dates with more details and relevant links, so you can figure out exactly what days are important for your organization to engage with.

  • All relevant hashtags that should be used to post about these important dates so you can make sure your post is #relevant.

Okay, I downloaded it. Now what?

Now it’s time to plan! Not every date on the #ConsciousContent Calendar is relevant to your organization. But a lot probably are, so it is important to look through them and recognize opportunities to engage with all of the stakeholders in your organization. Establishing a clear and consistent position through your social media affects your ability to recruit volunteers and maintain relationships with donors. Show them that you’re paying attention, and that you want to be part of the conversation on days like Safer Internet Day on February 9th. Or maybe, National Caregivers Day on February 19th provides a unique opportunity for you to engage on social media and drive your larger strategic goals. No matter what days you choose to engage with, the #ConsciousContent Calendar is here so that you can do it with ease.
